We will embark at the fishermen’s pier in Enseada do Suá in Vitória, on an exclusive boat, and we will navigate for up to 3 hours towards the area suitable for whale watching. During the navigation, the guide and/or researcher will give a talk about this spectacular animal and provide guidelines to be followed during the sighting.

After witnessing this wonderful spectacle of nature, we will return for disembarkation at the same location as the boarding, according to the scheduled time.

Meeting time and location:

Our meeting takes place at 06:30 am at Enseada do Suá in Vitória, Espírito Santo.

End time of the tour:

The tour ends around 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm (it may end earlier or later, depending on sea conditions, navigation time, and distance traveled for whale watching).

• Brazilians can travel only with the presentation of their RG in good condition and it cannot be more than 10 years old (see issue date); the photo must be updated and it is mandatory to present the original RG during the trip (authenticated copies are not accepted).

• For foreigners residing in Brazil, the RNE can be used as long as it is within the validity period.

• For foreigners residing in Brazil, the RNE can be used as long as it is within the validity period, but it is still mandatory to carry the original passport from your country with at least 6 months of validity after the conclusion of the trip.

• Follow-up by one or more registered guides, experienced and trained by the Amigos da Jubarte project.

• Tour on a boat approved by the Port Authority of Espírito Santo;

• Presentation of the humpback whale species by a researcher and environmental monitor from the Amigos da Jubarte project;

• Crew specialized in whale watching tourism navigation;

• A souvenir from the tour;

• Individual insurance;

• Light snacks and water on board (it is allowed to bring non-alcoholic food and drinks).

– For the Whale Watching tour in Vitória, Espírito Santo, inspected and approved vessels that meet all the requirements of the Harbor Captaincy are used;

– As this is an open sea tour, an area that receives a lot of wind, the sea can be choppy, with a great possibility that participants may experience nausea, dizziness, or discomfort. Consult your doctor and ask for advice on any medication;

– Pregnant women are not allowed;

– In the case of elderly participants, a medical clearance certificate is required to take the tour;

– The tour is not recommended for children under 5 years, individuals with labyrinthitis, those prone to nausea in everyday situations, panic syndrome, people with mobility difficulties, or anyone with sensitive health issues; consult your doctor;

– It is the responsibility of each participant to bring any personal medications that may be needed during the tour;

– In the event of a sudden health issue, the participant will be attended to and placed in a comfortable location, where they will be monitored to prevent the situation from worsening;

– Access to emergency medical services during the tour may be difficult due to distance and means of transport to an advanced care service;

– Since this is an observation tourism activity in a natural environment, it is not guaranteed that all animals occurring in the region will be sighted;

– We can say that in Vitória, Espírito Santo, during the season (late July to early October), we have a success rate of 97% for our whale watching tours, with at least one whale usually sighted during the tour. However, as this is a tourism observation in a natural environment, it may occasionally happen that no whales are spotted. Exceptionally, in this case, if no whales are sighted, it is possible to schedule a new outing on available dates for future groups;

– The confirmation of the Whale Watching tour depends on the minimum number of participants required to proceed, as well as favorable metoceanographic conditions. Therefore, confirmation of the tour will occur up to 12 hours before the scheduled boarding time on the chosen date;

– In the event that conditions are not favorable for the tour to take place, or the minimum number of participants is not reached, the customer may choose to reschedule the tour (subject to availability) or receive a refund of the amount paid.
